Carrot Seed is native to Europe, northwest Asia, Africa and Morocco, and naturalized in North America and Australia.  It is a biannual herbaceous plant with small finely divided and lacy flowers that develop in clusters of flat dense umbels.

The flat green seeds or fruits are dried then steam distilled to extract the essential oil.

The essential oil has a dry, slightly sweet, woody, earthy scent. Carrot seed essential oil relieves coughs, and eases anxiety, mental and emotional exhaustion, and aids ability to ‘move on’.

Added to vegetable oils, non-perfumed cream or lotion, carrot seed is wonderful for mature and dry skin, acne and dermatitis, and so much more.
