Background ‘droplet’

Mandarin is native to South Eastern Asia and the Philippines, introduced to Europe and America in the 1800’s, and now cultivated and produced mainly in Italy, Spain, Cypress, Greece, and the Middle East. This small evergreen, usually thorny tree, produces highly fragrant single or clustered flowers that bear fleshy bright orange fruits with a loose peel.

The fruit peel is crushed, or cold expressed to release the essential oil, which is contained in small sacs just beneath the surface.

The essential oil is mid to dark green in colour.

Added to vegetable oil, non-perfumed cream or lotion Mandarin essential oil provides wonderful skin healing qualities and is especially useful for acne, scar tissue, and stretch marks.

This oil also eases asthma, bronchitis, arthritic pain, and is an immune stimulant.

Mandarin essential oil brings out ‘the inner child’, eases anxiety, depression, nervous tension, and panic attacks, among many other wonderful qualities.
